SLANK the best metal band in indonesia..SLANK was formed in 1983 it was started when they are at senior high school who called CIKINI STONE cOMPLEx (CSC) which formation BIMBIM on drum,BOY on guitar,ABI on bass and UTI and WELLy as singers.they were always playing music of their idola rooling stone but this band finally fall out.but bimbim as a leader wasn't give up to make a new metal band.BIMBIM wth his brother make a new metal band which called RED DEVIL,BIMBIM on drum,ERWAN as a vocal,BONGKY on guitar,DANNY on bass,and KIKI on lead guitar.but this band wasn't played teh other song band but they began compose their own song.
they were played the song very interesting which was clased asreckless,ignorant.the fans called them as SLENGEAN metal band which exacly fits of the way they performance.since then they change the band's name to SLANK.the first album with the title SUIT...SUIT...HE..HE..HE(GADIS SEXY) release in 1991,this album punched the market with singel MEMANG and MAAFKAN become a best seller and brought SLANK to receive BASF award as The best New comer in 1991.
