The Black Dahlia Murder was formed in January 2001 when guitarist Brian Eschbach met drummer Cory Grady. Not long after the meeting, vocalist Trevor Strand came into photos and then began to write songs. Shortly after David Lock bass and guitar virtuoso John Kempainen joined the group to complete the line up today.
