METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich spoke recently in the magazine Revolver band much anticipated new album, tentatively due in the spring through Warner Bros. Records. "This stuff is certainly much more dynamic and much more varied compared to the last couple of rides," he said. "There's a lot of light and shadow in these songs. There is heavy, fast, nutty stuff, and then there are some slowdowns and musical interludes. Rather, it is different from 'St. Anger', and 'quite different from 'Load' stuff. stuff This is not a punch-dimensional and faces' St. Anger 'was. This is probably somewhat' more like those few albums back there in the decade beginning with a '8.' " When asked if the material is a return to "old school", Lars replied, "I hate to be that specific, because six months from now people are gonna go, 'What the fuck? Lars lied to us!' , But it feels so to me. 'Was no secret that Rick [Rubin, producer] suggested to us that we use a couple of those records as reference points - we spend some' time type of access that head. Formed in London, England, in 1976, Iron Maiden from the outset was the brainchild of Steve Harris (born March 12, 1957, Leytonstone, London, England; bass), ex-member of the pub rockers Smiler. Appointed after a medieval torture device, the music was appropriately heavy and hard on the senses. the heavy metal scene of the late 70s was widely seen as stagnating, with only a handful of bands proving their ability to survive and produce music of quality. It was at this time that a new generation of young British bands began to emerge. This movement, which began to break cover in 1979 and 1980, was known as the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, or NWOB *. M.. Iron Maiden were one of the first bands of the genre, and many say their final example. Younger and meaner, the NWOB *. M. Bands traded on faster, more energetic heavy metal than any of its ancestors (punk is an obvious influence). There were many changes in the line-up of the Iron Maiden in the ranks too early, and reached the release of their debut EP, the band featured Harris, Dave Murray (born Dec. 23, 1958, London, England; guitar), Paul Di " Anno (born May 17, 1959, Chingford, London, England; vocals) and Doug Sampson (drums). The band made its live debut in the basket & Horses Pub, in Stratford, east London, in 1977, before honing their sound in the local pub circuit more consistently two years. It is not possible to request a response from record companies, the band sent a tape of three bands, with Iron Maiden, Prowler and Strange World, Neal Kay, a DJ north London's hard rock disco, the Kingsbury Bandwagon Soundhouse. Kay's sponsorship of the Iron Maiden won them a while welcome, which led to the launch of The Soundhouse Tapes on the band's own label. The ex-CRADLE OF FILTH Drummer Adrian Erlandsson plays drums for industrial Gothic metal band DEATHSTARS on their tours in Europe as a performing act for KORN. Adrian doesn't tour until 25 december. Children of Bodom was formed in the spring of 1993, when guitarist Alexi Laiho (Sinergy, Kylähullut, ex-Impaled Nazarene, Thy Serpent, Norther) and drummer Jaska Raatikainen (Virtuocity) decided to form a death metal band under the moniker "Inearthed". They recruited bassist Samuli Miettinen and recorded their first demo "Implosion of Heaven" in 1994. Shortly after, the band added guitarist Alexander Kuoppala (Norther) and keyboardist Jani Pirisjoki Pera. Later, Miettinen and Pirisjoki left the band and Henkka Seppäla (bass) and Janne Warman (keyboards; Warmen) joined in. With their money, the band recorded their debut album "Something Wild" in 1997, merging elements of speed, death and power metal. The album Spinefarm Records has impressed so much that they decided to sign the band. Inearthed changed its name to Children of Bodom (named after a well-known mass murder that occurred at Lake Bodom just outside of Helsinki in 1960), in order to leave their previous contract with a Belgian label. Children of Bodom has obtained a licensing agreement with the Nuclear Blast deal to manage output to the rest of Europe. Alexander left the band in July 2003, leaving fans in shock as the band had said that it would close if one of its members left. Alessio, but said that "Children of Bodom is not ready to die yet fucked!" As they entered Alessio Sinergy's fellow guitarist, Roope Latvala (Walhalla, ex-Stone, To / Die / For, Waltari).
